Carly Rae Jepsen 'Sworn To Secrecy' On Justin Bieber Duet
'I think we want to release it together at one moment,' Jepsen explains to MTV News about the collaboration for her debut album.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jepsen_carly_rae/artist.jhtml">Carly Rae Jepsen</a> has long been teasing fans about her <a href="/news/articles/1689592/carly-rae-jepsen-collaborations-justin-bieber-redfoo.jhtml">collaboration with Justin Bieber</a>. And, if they thought they'd learn something new about the track as she inches closer to the release of her debut album this September, they'd better think again.</P><P>"The Justin song, I'm kind of sworn to secrecy on because I think we want to release it together at one moment," Jepsen explained to MTV News about the track's rollout. "But the rest of the album, I'm really excited for."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Carly Rae Jepsen Is 'Excited' About Her LMFAO Collabo 'This Kiss'" id="vid:818177" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>While she didn't want to say much about that duet, Jepsen did have more to say about her work with LMFAO's RedFoo. That song, she shared, might be her favorite on the album.</P><P>"There's one particular song that I can't wait to share called 'This Kiss' that I wrote with Matthew Koma and <a href="/news/articles/1688409/carly-rae-jepsen-lmfao-billboard-magazine.jhtml">Redfoo from LMFAO</a>," she explained. "[The sound is] definitely in my vein, but he's a really brilliant guy, and I think if anything when a collaboration happens, it's a little bit of everybody that makes it what it is. So maybe not just me and not just him, but us together."</P><P>In addition to being a bit secretive about the tracks on the record, Jepsen revealed she is also full of a number of other feelings. Admitting a range of emotions including pressure and anxiety, she said, "The main winning one is excitement. I just feel really lucky to be able to do this. I've been writing since I was 17, and to finally have an audience ready to hear some of that is really, really exciting for me."</P><P>Jepsen said her album will reflect more the woman she is now than the girl she was all those years ago. Miley Cyrus Planning 'Sexy' Album Before Marrying Liam Hemsworth
Sources say Miley is working on music that is 'very adult and sexy and believable.'

<P>Miley Cyrus is hard at work on her fourth studio album. And while she attempted to branch out into a more adult sound on 2010's <i>Can't Be Tamed,</i> sources say this next studio release will be "very adult and sexy" and, more importantly, "believable."</P><P>Sources tell <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/miley_cyrus_very_adult_sexy_new_album/321638" target="_blank">E! News</a> that the former Disney princess, who just announced her <a href="/news/articles/1686645/miley-cyrus-liam-hemsworth-engaged.jhtml">engagement to Liam Hemsworth</a>, is "having fun making music for the first time in her career." She's reportedly sexing things up with producers Pharrell Williams and Hit-Boy, recording music in Miami and Los Angeles. The insider continues, "We are watching a young girl turn into a young woman."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Liam Hemsworth Gives Miley Cyrus Blessing To See 'Hunger Games'" id="vid:751077" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Cyrus is also taking <i>other</i> steps towards a more mature sound. She's working with music manager Bruce Flohr of Red Light Management and is no longer with the manager she had when she was closely associated with Disney. The source adds that people in her camp are referring to the musical move as "Miley 2.0."</P><P>The fact that Miley is focused on her career might make her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, happy. Sources tell <a href="http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2012/06/miley-cyrus-engagement-dad-billy-ray-not-happy" target="_blank">Radar Online</a> that he's hoping his 19-year-old daughter won't rush to the altar. The source adds that neither Billy Ray nor Miley's mother, Tish, was surprised by the engagement. In fact, Hemsworth asked for their permission before he popped the question.</P><P>"They knew it was coming," the Radar source said. "Liam lived with Miley and her parents when they began dating in 2009. Billy Ray and Tish love him like a son. However, Billy Ray is concerned about how young they are and he hopes that they aren't in a rush to get married. Teen Choice Awards Belong To Justin Bieber, 'Hunger Games'
Taylor Swift and 'Vampire Diaries' also score multiple awards during Sunday's show.

<P>Justin Bieber, One Direction, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and the casts of "Twilight" and "The Hunger Games" are all proud owners of brand-new surfboards after coming away winners at Sunday's (July 22) <a href="/news/articles/1690174/teen-choice-awards-winners-list.jhtml">Teen Choice Awards</a>.</P><P>The 14th annual awards show was hosted by Demi Lovato and "Glee" star Kevin McHale and featured a host of multiple winners from across the entertainment landscape. It also saw <a href="/news/articles/1690173/justin-bieber-teen-choice-awards-performance.jhtml">performances by Bieber</a>, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida and <a href="/news/articles/1690171/no-doubt-teen-choice-awards-performance.jhtml">No Doubt, who gave their first televised performance</a> of their new single "Settle Down."</P><P>Awards were voted on by fans, who cast a total of 134 million votes, Lovato reported during the show.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber And Big Sean Get Down At Teen Choice Awards" id="vid:817411.id:1690172" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Bieber, who performed a medley of "Boyfriend" and "As Long as You Love Me" — the latter featuring an assist from Big Sean — was named Choice Male Artist. "For me?" he said after being handed his surfboard trophy. He proceeded to thank his fans and said he hoped <i>Believe</i> was "everything that you guys waited for. I hope you guys are playing it over and over again, and this is just a reminder to everybody in here: Believe. Thank you," he said.</P><P>Bieber's better half, Selena Gomez, was awarded Choice Music Group along with her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene. Gomez accepted on behalf of her bandmates. "This is the best birthday present ever!" said Gomez, who turned 20 on Sunday. Kevin Hart then led the crowd in a sing-along of "Happy Birthday" to the star.</P><P>Swift was named Choice Female Artist and was also given Choice Single by a Female Artist ("Eyes Open"), Choice Country Song ("Sparks Fly"), Choice Female Country Artist and Choice Movie Voice (for Audrey in "Dr. Suess' The Lorax"). The five awards brought her career total to 20 Teen Choice Awards. "This is a really, really huge award, and I'm so excited and I just feel so honored that I get to have you guys in my life," she said to her fans. "I'm so happy right now, thank you so much. And thank you to Teen Choice for giving teens a chance to vote for something, because I love getting these!"</P><P>The "Twilight" saga was given the evening's Ultimate Choice award, bringing the series total to more than 40 Teen Choice Awards. Stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner accepted on the movie's behalf. Lautner called it "an extreme honor," and Pattison and Stewart gave it up to the fans, literally, by handing their surfboards over to members of the audience.</P><P>"The Hunger Games" star Josh Hutcherson was named Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and was quite proud of his new trophy. "I've always wanted to own my own surfboard, so now I have one. This is awesome!" he said. "The Hunger Games" was also named Choice Book and Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and Hutcherson and co-star Jennifer Lawrence were given Choice Lip Lock honors.</P><P>One Direction were not on hand to accept their awards for Choice Summer Music Star: Group, Choice Music Breakout Group or Choice Love Song (for "What Makes You Beautiful"), but they sent in a humorous video of themselves receiving the surfboard award by mail.</P><P>"The Vampire Diaries" and its cast picked up a handful of awards, including Choice TV Show Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Choice TV Actor Sci-Fi/Fantasy (for Ian Somerholder), and Somerholder also won for Choice Hottie: Male. (Miley Cyrus, who wasn't on hand, won Choice Hottie: Female, along with Choice Fashion Icon: Female.) When accepting his Choice Hottie award, Somerholder thanked his fans and said he loves them all "each individually."</P><P>Zac Efron, a multiple winner for "The Lucky One" (he picked up Choice Movie Actor: Drama and Choice Movie Actor: Romance, while "The Lucky One" won Choice Movie: Drama), also thanked his fans, whom he called "the best fans in the world."</P><P>Jonah Hill gets credit for reaching outside the show's target demographic to poke fun at 82-year-old Oscar winner Christopher Plummer while picking up the Choice Movie: Comedy award for "21 Jump Street." "I got nominated for an Oscar earlier this year, and I lost to a guy named Christopher Plummer, who's an older, fantastic actor. And I'd just like to point out that he's not nominated for anything tonight. So I'm better."</P><P>Choice Comedian winner Ellen DeGeneres poked fun at the awards show's surfboard theme when picking up her award, her fourth. "What does [the surfboard] have to do with anything?" she asked.</P><P>But her frequent guests <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2011/10/12/nicki-minaj-super-bass-youtube/">Sophia Grace and Rosie</a> weren't complaining. The Brits were handed mini-surfboards for the title of Choice Web Star, and the YouTube sensations were beaming. "This is so brilliant!" said Sophia Grace. And there are two more Hollywood A-listers who are potentially getting all hot and bothered.</P><P>Well, one of them is, at least.</P><P>Angelina Jolie had been rumored to be in the running to direct the big-screen adaptation of the E.L. James novel. <a href="http://www.deadline.com/2012/06/fifty-shades-of-grey-heating-up-with-angelina-jolie-talk/" target="_blank">Deadline</a> reported that the film's studio had had a "conversation or two" with the actress about possibly helming the sexy film franchise. The trilogy follows the S&M relationship between shy college coed Ana Steele and her domineering billionaire beau, Christian Grey.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Would Nina Dobrev Be In 'Fifty Shades'?" id="vid:768309" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>However, Jolie's rep tells <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/angelina-jolie-direct-fifty-shades-grey-332449" target="_blank"><i>The Hollywood Reporter</i></a> that there haven't been any talks with the studio, Universal Pictures' Focus Features, about her coming on board to direct.</P><P>Well, with the studio on the lookout for not only a director but also a leading lady, they might want to call up the <a href="/news/articles/1686727/miley-cyrus-liam-hemsworth-engaged-timeline.jhtml">newly engaged Miley Cyrus</a>. One day after announcing her impending nuptials to "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth, she <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/mileycyrus" target="_blank">tweeted</a>, "Reading 50 shades of grey next to the oldest dude ever. #awkward."</P><P>Even if Cyrus doesn't get the part of Ana, she is working on her own sexy project. <P>On Sunday (July 22), teens took over.</P><P>Fox's Teen Choice Awards gave teens all the power, and they had some clear favorites. Justin Bieber — who <a href="/news/articles/1690173/justin-bieber-teen-choice-awards-performance.jhtml">performed his latest single, "As Long as You Love Me,"</a> with Big Sean at the show — took home four surfboards, including Choice Male Artist. Taylor Swift snagged the Choice Female Artist prize and nabbed five awards total.</P><P>On the movies front, "The Hunger Games" dominated, winning Choice Movie Sci-Fi/Fantasy and the top actor and Miley Cyrus' 'LOL': What Went Wrong?
A movie expert weighs in on why the teen dramedy was a box-office flop.

<P>Last Friday, Miley Cyrus' soapy teen dramedy <a href="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/493415/moviemain.jhtml">"LOL"</a> opened to a limited release in nine states. The film, by all accounts, didn't perform the way a film starring Cyrus, "Twilight" star Ashley Greene and one-time screen siren Demi Moore, might be expected to.</P><P>"LOL," an English-language adaptation of a French Film of the same name, <a href="http://moviecitynews.com/2012/05/the-weekend-report-may-6-2012/lk-2012-05-06/" target="_blank">grossed only $46,500</a> in 105 theaters. While it's hard to tell why the film underperformed, it seems that a lack of marketing leading up to its debut may have played a role in that. The flick follows the story of a teen, Lola (played by Cyrus), as she faces the strife of first love in a world driven by technology.</P><P><iframe width="460" height="264" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4P6mXZzY9nc?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></P><P>"It's really hard to say because we've heard absolutely nothing about it. I think there was some buzz about this was sort of going to be a different type of breakout role for Miley. I'm not a fan of Miley, but I would actually like to see that and I think a lot of people would," Brooke Tarnoff, a senior editor at Next Movie, told MTV News about the lackluster interest in the flick once it dropped.</P><P>With so few eyes on the release leading up to May 4, it's hard to tell if the performance had anything to do with Cyrus. Tarnoff added, "Maybe the selling power of Miley has diminished. I think her fanbase may be less loyal than it was in the 'Hannah Montana' days, but it's all kind of moot."</P><P>The film had gotten some attention when Cyrus and Greene were <a href="/news/articles/1647275/miley-cyrus-ashley-greene-shoot-lol-paris.jhtml">spotted filming it back in 2010</a>. But, after shooting wrapped, little else was heard about the film until a <a href="/news/articles/1682916/miley-cyrus-lol-trailer.jhtml">trailer</a> dropped in mid-April, three weeks before the limited release.</P><P>"There's obviously an audience for pretty much anything," she continued. "And this one having a 'Twilight' star and Miley Cyrus, who still has some cache, it's just [a missed opportunity]."</P><P>Regardless of the film's box-office performance, Cyrus seemed proud of it. She took to <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/MileyCyrus/status/199543471130943488" target="_blank">Twitter</a> over the weekend and brushed off the low numbers. "Thank u so much for everyone who went to see LOL," she wrote. "It is a film I loved making and I am proud of.... Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus Snared In 'American Idol' Judge Rumor Mill
Khloe Kardashian, Stacy Keibler and Kelly Osbourne on list of potential 'X Factor' hosts.

<P>Giving new meaning to the phrase "throw it up against the wall and see what sticks," the roster of A and B-list stars reportedly in the mix to spice up the judging panels and take over hosting duties on <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/topic/american_idol/">"American Idol"</a> and "X Factor" multiplied by a factor of 10 on Tuesday (July 10).</P><P>We've already told you that former "Idol" runner-up <a href="/news/articles/1689286/adam-lambert-american-idol-judge-rumors.jhtml">Adam Lambert</a>
 is reportedly being eyed to join the panel for the 12th season of the show. We're not sure yet who he'd replace on the three-person panel, but Jennifer Lopez is rumored to be on her way out along with fellow two-season vet Steven Tyler. Even lone wolf "Idol" OG Randy Jackson is said to be on the potential chopping block as the show looks to shake things up to compete with the fresher celeb faces on "Factor" and "The Voice."</P><P><a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/328622/american-idol-miley-cyrus-katy-perry-nicki-minaj-fergie-and-will-i-am-being-considered-as-judges" target="_blank"><I>E! Online</I></a> tossed a few more huge names into the big names into the hopper on Monday by quoting unnamed sources saying that Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Fergie and will.i.am are also being considered for the vacancies.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Who Should Be A Judge On 'American Idol' Season 12?" id="vid:815352 " width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>A spokesperson for "Idol" did not return requests for comment on the report at press time, but an "Idol" insider told the site, "no one has signed any contracts yet and producers are currently putting out feelers and setting up meetings to see who they can get ... we won't know if Randy [Jackson] and Steven [Tyler] are returning until they see who else is on board."</P><P>It seems unlikely that such currently red-hot stars as Perry and Minaj would put everything on hold to spend half a year or more attending rehearsals, tapings and live shows for "Idol." Cyrus is also not likely to put off her recording and movie career to join the "Idol" family, but with the Black Eyed Peas on hiatus and their solo careers in a holding pattern Fergie and frequent "Idol" mentor will.i.am could be legitimate contenders.</P><P>This type of bold-name speculation takes place just about every summer.  was touted as the next "Idol" judge after negotiations with J. Lo reportedly broke down in 2010?</P><P>The rumors got even more intense earlier this year when Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, the late Whitney Houston, Avril Lavigne and <a href="/news/articles/1680114/britney-spears-x-factor.jhtml">Britney Spears</a>
 were said to be circling a gig on former "Idol" lead judge Simon Cowell's "X Factor." Britney, of course, ended up signing on the dotted line, along with Demi Lovato, but "Factor" still has one vacancy to fill: host.</P><P>Actually, make that <a href="/news/articles/1679730/x-factor-new-judges-hosts.jhtml"><I>two</I> spots</a>
 . Following the ouster of Steve Jones after the first season, Cowell is looking for one female and one male host to anchor the show and the alleged list of potential chatters is impressive, and a bit random.</P><P><a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/328798/x-factor-considering-khlo-kardashian-odom-stacy-keibler-and-more-as-possible-hosts" target="_blank"><I>E!</I> also reported</a> that the not-so-short list ranges from George Clooney's girlfriend Stacy Keibler to Khloé Kardashian Odom, Kelly Osbourne, Mario Lopez, sportscaster Erin Andrews and BET's Terrence J.</P><P>An unnamed source told the site that Cowell is in no hurry to fill those vacancies. "They're doing the auditions without a host so it's no big deal they don't have hosts right now," the source said. "Simon really wants to take his time.
